Solving a State’s Need for Trained Language Professionals

Delaware’s population includes a high percentage of Spanish-speaking residents. How would the state’s education system serve Limited-English Proficient (LEP) students and parents? The state of Delaware partnered with us on their contract for state-wide language services throughout the community, including the school districts. Our team is brought in for parent teacher conferences, 1:1 IEP meetings with school administration, orientations, trainings, and town-hall meetings. Our interpreters have partnered with our local school leaders and faculty, and are aware of the policies and culture of each school we are a part of. Many of our school administrators comment that they feel as if our interpreters and translators are employees of the school as they interface with them frequently and feel they adhere to the same core values, professionalism, and protocol of each school.
