
Leah daPonte Lightcap
Founder & CEO
Leah is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication and master’s degree in Spanish and Pedagogy. She holds a certificate from Harvard University’s Women in Leadership Program. Leah founded Language Liaisons in 2003 when her sister Anne Kaminski, a registered nurse, showed her the benefits of language access in the medical field. The Language Liaisons team now contracts with translators and interpreters all over the US. Leah served as the Vice Chair for and is currently a member of the International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA).

Ireida Grabill
DIRECTOR & TRAINER
A native of Puerto Rico, Ireida grew up in a family that was passionate about their culture and the Spanish language. Ireida developed a love for the performing arts and went to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Theater and Public Relations with a minor in Spanish at Penn State University. Her extensive background and experience have enabled her to function perfectly in her multi-role position with the Language Liaisons team. If you meet Ireida one day, you will notice her passion for accuracy, honesty, and learning.
